Picture dictation

About one thousand years before Jesus was born, jites are invented in China that can lift a man off the ground. About 900 years later the English king was the first person who tried to fly using wings. He jumped off a tall church and died.  About 500 years ago, Leonardo da Vinci, the Italian scientist, inventor and artist, drew many designs for flying machines.  Around 1700 de Gusmao designs an airship. He flies it for the King of Portugal. In 1843, George Cayley found the four forces of flight lift drag weight and thrust.  Sixty years later the Wright brothers made the first successful flight in a flying machine. In 1930 Frank Whittle, a British inventor, designed the first turbojet engine. Fast-forward 40 years New Zealander, Glenn Martin, invented his jetpack.  It is a small flying device for one person. Around the same time the first flying car was invented.
